Overview
The Honeywell HE480 Series is a steam style humidifier designed to be inserted or hung beneath the supply ductwork. It uses an electric resistance heating element to boil water and turn it into steam. The HE480 Series uses a thermal fan interlock control to provide whole house humidification on demand. Steam power humidifiers work with furnaces, heat pumps, setback thermostats and virtually any Honeywell humidity control.
Maintenance
A two-stage water treatment system keeps the reservoir clean, maintains operation and reduces maintenance. A regular maintenance program prolongs humidifier life and provides a more comfortable environment. The frequency of filter replacement depends on water conditions. Either hard or soft water can be used in the water treatment system. It is recommended to change the filter once a year or every three to six months dependent on water type.
