Humidifier - How To Find The Model Number

It's important when ordering parts for your humidifier, that you first determine the model number of the unit you own.

On this particular humidifier, there is a sticker down here, located next to the solenoid valve. Now, on other models, it might be located on the side or the top. So you're going to want to get a flashlight out and look very closely at your humidifier, find that sticker, and you can determine what model you own, so you can order the right parts, the first time.

Air Cleaner - How To Find The Model Number

Hi, I'm Jay. This is the Honeywell electronic air cleaner.

In order to purchase the correct parts for your unit, it's important to first determine the model number of your air cleaner. It's easy to do, the first thing you want to do is turn off the power to your air cleaner and furnace. Now that the power is turned off, simply remove the door. On the backside of the panel, up in this corner it says, Type No. That is the model number of your unit. This particular model number happens to be F50 F 1032. So that's the model number we're looking for.

UV System – Overview and Model Identification

Hi, I'm Jay, and this is the Honeywell UV System.

This particular one is located in the return air duct work. It could also be mounted in the supply plenum, here, above the furnace. The model number for your UV system is located on the side, right here. You'll need this information when ordering replacement UV bulbs. The UV bulb, sometimes called the lamp, must be replaced every 12 months, regardless of whether it is lit or not.

Replacing it is simple. Turn the knob counter-clockwise, remove the bulb, it's important to not get hand oil on the new bulb, so, remove the old one. On certain models, this particular lamp can not be removed from the socket, it is glued in. The newer models, it's replaceable. So you can buy just this part, the bulb.

So, I'm going to take this bulb, insert it into the handle, like that. Being careful not to get my hand oil on it, reinsert it into the base mechanism, now the light is not lit on this particular one. This particular model happens to have a reset button, which is located on the bottom. We're going to push the reset button in, hold it in, until the light comes on. The light's now lit, and changing the bulb is complete.
